Monday, 14 July 2008

Eleven United Schools International (USI) teachers were given a one-day orientation program by Sampoerna Foundation’s Human Resources Department. The aims of this briefing are to welcome the teachers as new SF employees and to familiarize them with SF’s programs before they embark to their designated schools.

The orientation also encompassed briefing and discussion session led by the USP Director, Mr. Ronald Stones OBE. His ‘bus presentation’ talks about what drives an organization from good to great. It explains how USI teachers can play their role right and contribute to the school’s growth.

Following the bus presentation was the subject-teacher discussion. Teachers of each subject discussed their strategies to implement the IGCSE curriculum in class and how they’ll share it with other teachers in school. The 13 USI teachers will start teaching in school on 14 July 2008.
